The local home town.
Monterrey, Nuevo León is well known to be an important city for doing business. Here you might find Mexican companies but also manufacturing centers from all around the world.
Reviewing some numbers from 2021, we can see that Nuevo León got more than 2,300 million (usd) in foreign investment in all 2021. The state of Nuevo León speeded up its economic upturn thru foreign direct investment in all Mexico. You might find companies from the United States, Germany and China, among other countries. Now in 2023, Nuevo Leon has achieved 164 projects from October 2021 till up August 2023, with 87 new investments and 77 business expansions. This has generated 110,198 jobs and a foreign direct investment of 25,385M USD.
From the local home town to the challenge as a country: Mexico.
I just described my home town Monterrey, but as an entire country, Mexico has so many challenges to improve its productivity. Despite its location next to the United States and Canada, there are so many actions to increase Mexico´s productivity.
The World Bank released a report in which a complete analysis was done from 1994 till 2019. It is true that we had a tough time with Covid-19 pandemic. However now with nearshoring opportunity, Mexico has a huge challenge to tackle up the economic downturn. This is an incredible chance to improve our productivity.
It is a chance to help. There are so many things to do. Education is a key element. As you read above, Mexico is linked with other countries around the world by global commerce. We must know how to communicate in English with other people around the world.
In this paper, my goal is to help college students and graduate professionals that are looking for to get more confidence by improving their communication skills in English. There are so many tasks to do in order to provide high quality education that can tackle more complex problems in the world economy. This will help young graduates and professionals to get the skills that companies require and get a job.
The goal to reach.
The whole idea of writing in English is to help other people to practice their English skills, in this case by reading in this language. But I want to go further. As explained in previous papers, the main topic here is supply chain management and its related topics, such as Material Planning, Vendor Management and International Logistics.
In the next paper, I want to share more ideas to keep practicing. Technical skills are extremely important but also we must learn how to communicate effectively. There are so many global problems in Supply Chain, such as material shortage and transportation issues just to mention two among other ones. I do appreciate your time by reading this article.
