This is not a one and individual article. The future articles released in ReportAcero website will analyse from a supply chain management perspective (SCM), how global news and events affect SCM operations.

Today´s note pretends to explain:

1)     The importance of the supply chain management in relation with current operations. Also the good and bad points about the management techniques that companies have to deploy in order to compete in a globalized world.

2)     Also this paper begins with a presentation of the concepts that affect the supply chain management and how they are related to the barriers and drivers.

We will go from the very basic theory and link all these concepts to our current situation in the world, including Mexico´s role in this global environment. We will take it easy, from the theory to practical cases. We will go step by step.

Supply chain management. It is the management of the interconnection of organizations which relate to each other through upstream and downstream linkages between the different processes that produce value in the form of products and services to the ultimate consumer.

Going and passing thru from raw material supply, manufacturing, packaging, distribution and delivering to the end-customer.

Based on this, there are 3 concepts that affect supply chain management:

1)     Demand amplification

2)     Deterministic chaos

3)     Parallel interactions

How do these concepts (mentioned above) work related to SCM? Let’s explained them with more detail. Please, stay with us. In the next article we will show you up.

In the meantime, take care and keep walking on my friend.
